The quality of their products is really good. They did my front entry door. They have a large selection to choose from and they are good quality materials. They were professional. They came out and did the estimate and nothing changed with it. Karen at the office, was really on top of it because I had to have my door special ordered, but she kept me informed throughout the whole process. They also cleaned up after themselves really well. My door is amazing. They were able to install this unique door when several other companies said they couldn’t do it. My experience was so great.

Well, we were impressed with the quality of the product and the advice we got going into it. Also, we were amazed by the quality of the stucco work that they did. It wasn’t their main job, but you can’t tell what was torn out and what was there before. We have used them before and were impressed.

The availability of the different fixtures, I was having windows installed in my mother’s house, who has severe arthritis, and I was so happy to know that they have special locking devices which would make it easier for her to open and close the windows. John and his crew did most of the windows in my house a few years ago. Everything got done smoothly and in a workmanlike manner. When I was doing a down to the studs kitchen remodel a year later, I got those windows from John as well. I'm planning to put a new entry door in and John was the first place I went. Given the vague nature of the negative reviews, it's hard to take them very seriously, or even know what the problem was.

These people do a great job. They turned a window into an Andersen slider for me, and the work was done on time, by a very professional crew. These guys know what they are doing, and it shows. They did everything they said they'd do, on-time, no mistakes and no 'sorry's'. I've done this sort of work myself, so I know what goes into the task. I highly recommend these people. Worth every dime.

The service turned out very well. It turned out excellent. When I mentioned the difference of the color of the window frame and my home they sent someone out to paint the window frames.

We spent close to a year researching different types of windows (wood, vinyl, fiberglass), different type of installations new construction and replacement/retrofit. We decided on Anderson 200 series for a good balance between price, performance and aesthetics. Then we started shopping for installers. We looked at buying the windows and hiring a separate contractor to install and the one stop shop place like Anderson's. We had a few different people come out to give us quotes a few were from Angie's list. One of the last ones mentioned they were Diamond Certified, but they were very expensive. I liked the idea of Diamond Certified, so I looked at their list (which is much smaller then Angie's list). I found Anderson listed, and they had good ratings on Angie's. John came out to our house and was very knowledgable. I was expecting his quote to be very high, since my assumption was Diamond Certified vendors were more costly. I was very surprised that his quote was essentially tied for the other lowest quote we had, but he had much better reviews on Angie's and was Diamond Certified. I signed the contract, he was very helpful in picking out hardware and foam molding for our windows. The timeline he gave us for the order and installation was right on the money. The day the said they were going to begin 5 workers came to our house. I was properly warned of the noise and dust the installation was going to cause, so I prepared by covering a lot of the house in plastic. But the installers put drop cloths down every day and helped me improve my plastic covering which greatly reduced the dust spreading. It amazingly only took them 3 days. They put in new insulation around any small gaps in the windows before they sealed them up. And the city inspections when flawlessly. The final stucco and wood finishing was top notch. Every day when they left they cleaned up the work areas and removed all the drop cloths. The only snag in the whole affair was the floor locks for the sliding door were the wrong finish, it took another month to order the right ones and they came right out and installed them in 30 minutes. Since I was spending so much money I was really concerned that they job was going to be done right and I have to say I was really impressed with the professionalism and workmanship of the whole company. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

The door arrived within the estimated time. The workers arrived on time and installed it faster than the estimated time--it took less than a day, rather than 1.5 days. The door is installed perfectly and the stucco patching they did looked very nice. I would definitely go back.

The windows were installed quickly. The stucco, and wood replaced. One header around a window needed replacing so we paid extra for that. The owner and the office staff were very nice and easy to work with. One window didn't come in on time for the sun-room but this did not cause us a problem. They were quick to rectify the problem. I highly recommend Anderson Window and Door. Since I changed from single pane windows throughout my it is quieter, cooler in the summer, and it felt warmer in the winter.

This is the 3rd time we've used this company over the last seven years. We stopped by their shop and arranged for someone to come to our home to take measurements. Our home is located in Santa Cruz but this has never been a problem. They showed up at the time and day arranged and gave us all the time we needed. The order came in on time and a date was arranged for installation. The crew showed up on time and got immediately to work. This was the easiest job we've given them, and even then we managed to have a less than standard height opening - which the workers dealt with with efficiency and ease. No complaining or moaning. They seemed (as always) to approach installation problems as if they preferred them to easy installs. The area they worked in was cleaner after they left than before they got here. Every job they've done, including framing a window in, matching up stucco and/or wood exterior around doors and windows, and inside sheet rocking has been excellent.

Judging by their responsiveness when adjustments needed to be made post installation, John Scalmanini and his team earned their top ratings. A vendor is truly judged by his attitude and responsiveness upon having to send the installation crew to make adjustment. Upon reporting an issue with the installation John arrived at the home to inspect, and the next day his crew was on location to adjust. Kerry, (the office manager?) was outstanding in answering my phone calls, coordinating and managing my expectations. Bottom Line: A well run quality business. I will definitely use their services in the future.

There was a considerable delay between getting an estimate (Sept.) and getting the installation Dec.), due to delays by my homeowners association, but once we set a date for the installation everything was handled promptly and efficiently. The installation took only half a day. They did a very good job, and cleaned up everything afterwards. I also needed scaffolding. It, too, was set up and removed properly. I am totally satisfied with the result.

They do excellent work. It was a little expensive but I think it was worth every penny.

They completed the project in 6 hours, which met my expectation of 1 day or less.

They were just great! John and Deborah came out for an initial sales call within the week that I called them. They helped me define and design what I wanted I reconfigured some openings) and measured all the windows. The bid they sent me was the lowest of the three I got, but the quality was higher; these were solid wood frames with vinyl clad exterior rather than composite or veneer wood frames. I went into their showroom to see exactly what I was getting and placed the order there. Then John came out to reconfirm measurements and go over details of trim and hardware. I travel a lot and worked delivery and installation around my schedule. They always called a day or two ahead to confirm appointments. There were two surprises. One was that the wood did not come stained, I had to do that after they were installed. I had never asked about that because the other vendors wood windows were fake wood and would have looked finished when installed. John gave me the name of someone who could do that, which added some cost after installation. The second was that before the installation, I received a thank-you-for-your-business gift from them in the mail, totally unnecessary but a measure of what a pleasure they were to work with. The installers took 2 days to complete the job. They laid plastic throughout the house to protect from sawdust as they rebuilt the window openings and cleaned up each night. In fact, at the end, they cleaned up so well they forgot to leave me some sample wood to test stains, but they came back out with that when I called to ask for it. They were all very professional and easy to deal with. I would use them again and highly recommend them.

We had a wonderful experience - from quote to finish. Their Sales Rep Sean was very pleasant to deal with, we had never the feeling of being pressured and knew exactly what we were getting. We also like the fact that their workers are all employed by Anderson, as well as the Milgard windows being produced locally. The construction team was very friendly and excellent workers (even my in-law, a former contractor himself, was very impressed with their quality of work). They cleaned up every day and despite the major work we never had the feeling to sit in dust. They were also very considerate to protect the pond from dust and did a splendid job with the cat door (it got the same molding as the windows which we did not even expect). When it rained we were informed when they'd come back and we LOVE our new windows and door. Their quote was higher than our other quotes, but we were willing to pay for the quality we received. We definitely recommend Anderson!

I was very happy with their customer service and the work performed. They arrived promptly and completed the work in only two days. They sent a large crew to perform the work in order to complete it quickly. The covered everything in plastic, kept me informed and asked questions when needed. Afterwards they cleaned up thoroughly. The windows look great. At the end of the project we did a walk-through to make sure everything was exactly as specified.

They did a very good job as they worked fast and were very precise and in the project. We haven't had any problems with our new windows. I would definitely recommend them and their services to others.

Estimator was on time and they do a recheck to validate the measurements. Work crew was great; did a great job and cleaned up nicely. Be sure to check on hardware; I wasn't aware that I needed it and had to run out at the last minute to get some. Price was a little on the high side, but we needed doors that could withstand heavy rain and wind.

Quick and thorough selection and ordering process. After receiving the quote it was very helpful to visit the showroom in SJ. We made a few changes that better fit the room and our budget. The 10 windows and slider are in and look great! They completely transformed a tired family room with 40 year-old cloudy windows into a beautiful room that looks like it's out of Architectural Digest.
 
And I was really impressed by the installation team. They are permanent employees of the company with a lot of experience and knowledge on how to install these windows. They did a fantastic job: efficient, great attention to detail, and excellent craftsmanship.
 
Also note that this Anderson is an independent family-owned company that has real pride in their work at a reasonable price. Not the window franchise company Andersen (with an e) and their relentless ad campaign.

Great experience from start to finish. Our sales person David was great, and was very supportive and helpful in choosing the right grain, style, etc. They are a one-stop shop for setting you up with staining, all the hardware, trim, installation, everything. Everyone we worked with was very courteous, competent, and professional. Do not confuse with other businesses with similar names! We love our beautiful front door!

This is a small family owned business in Santa Clara County. The account representative Dave showed up at our house and the process was quick. He answered all our questions. We recently had a couple new doors installed and they look great. I would highly recommend Anderson Window & Door.

GREAT EXPERIENCE. They installed a double French door, 3 large casement windows and a picture window in my 1950s ranch home. David the sales representative was knowledgeable, detail oriented and worked closely with me to help me find exactly the product that I was looking for. The owner of the company, John, came out and measured the windows himself before ordering. When it came to the install, the crews were friendly, professional and accommodating. As the work was completed during the shelter in place, they wore masks and worked around my kids distance learning classroom schedules. I also had them replace some broken parts on my old windows that I was not able to locate and adjust an existing French door. At every point, they met or exceeded my expectations! Can't recommend them highly enough.

Excellente!

Had an excellent experience from estimate, ordering and install. This business is a full one-stop replacement center so, the estimate does not show all the details of materials and labor. However, I found that other installers hide costs and added after the fact, where as Anderson took care of any issues with install (no added cost). The finish on my 65 year old house looks amazing; stucco and sealants were flawless. As for the other woman reviewer - I too am female and had no issues with respect, timely call backs and professionalism all around. I handled all details with the team and had an excellent experience. Last but not least, the install came earlier than expected so I got it done before any major storms or weather.

This is the second time in 15 years I have used John to work on a project in my home. I would highly recommend his company for detail, fair pricing, and overall incredible customer service. John the owner will guide you with the best advice and options for your repair or remodel. Even the gentleman that repaired the stucco after our doors were installed matched perfect. I am a designer and I recommend using John for windows and exterior and interior doors to clients. It was a pleasure again to use such s professional business.

We hired Anderson Windows to replace several large windows and a few small bedroom windows. We were very happy with the customer service we received and the entire process was flawless. The finished product is great: windows are beautiful, the ones that open and close work well. We are quite pleased. We recommend Anderson Windows without reservation.

We have had this company replace doors, windows and always been extremely happy with the results. We have had French Doors installed, replacing old Pella doors, ordered a new front door from them, and we recently replaced a Bay Window with a custom window. It was a big job. It's confusing because this is Anderson Window& Doors with an "o" so not the Andersen Window folks that advertise. John Scalmanini and his own team, which do all the work, are terrific. Adiel, who I think was the foreman, was not only careful but talented - saved us from replacing our shutters and our bench seat. Can't recommend them highly enough.

Just had my large window 5' by 10' removed and replaced. Had an excellent experience throughout. I wonder if some of these reviews are for Andersen (with an "e") instead of Anderson? Pricing was competitive, I obtained 3,quotes.

We are very pleased and satisfied with the excellent work they did on our home. They Installed all new windows (new construction style) and redid all the stucco around the windows. They were very clean, polite and efficient. Their prices were reasonable and they always showed up on time when promised. John the owner was ready to always answer any and all questions. We highly recommend them and will definitely be referring our friends and family.

Great work from start to finish. I had French doors installed on the back of the house. John showed up early evening to accommodate my work schedule. Very professional and objective in discussing the job and options. The crew was clean, courteous, fast and did great work.
 
Additionally and coincidentally, I had a water leak on the opposite side of the house and I couldn't find the source. After some advice from John I was able to locate it and I then figured who better to solve for a water leak than a window company?
 
I contacted Joh and quite honestly, talked him into taking the job. Again, the crew did an awesome job and exceeded all expectations.

We had a very good experience with Anderson Window and Door. John personally came out to give us a quote and discuss our options and was both knowledgeable and respectful. He gave us thorough information about how the installation works without talking down to us. John was very low pressure and took a lot of time to really talk about how the process works and how it differs from a simple retrofit, as well as discussing different window options with us. The quote we got for a bay window installation was also about 2K less than another (pushier) outfit we got a quote from.
 
The quality of the window and the workmanship on the installation overall was extremely good. Since bay windows do not sit flush against the outside wall, a good amount of exterior and stucco work had to be done in addition to the window installation, and it looked much better than we had anticipated. The texture matches the existing stucco and a lot of work went into making it weather-tight as well as attractive.
 
Although when we initially asked if the original french doors could be salvaged and he didn't think they could be, his crew was able to save the existing doors as well as the frame.
 
Another reviewer claims Anderson Window hires outside contractors, which does not seem to be the case. According to John, all of his construction employees have worked directly for him for 4+ years. These guys were definitely working as a team and knew what they were doing.
 
From consultation to installation to finish we have been incredibly happy with Anderson Window and already have plans to work with them again.

I couldn't have chosen a better door and Window contractor than Anderson. Greatest experience ever! I ordered my new front entry doors from them and although it took a little while to come in due to the holidays which is completely normal, it was well worth the wait. The installers were very professional, maintained a very clean work environment while installing the doors, and the office always kept me informed about the status of the order. Everyone is very nice and polite. The installers work directly for Anderson so there are no sub contractors involved. All in all, if you are in the market for doors and/or windows, Anderson Installation is the crew that you want. Their doors and windows are of very high quality. My entry doors are a little on the tricky side but Anderson had much prior experience with installing these kinds of entry doors. As a matter of fact, they were the only contractor willing to take on the project. I inquired online with a few other door and window contractors explaining my door situantion and no one ever responded except for a couple contractors that said they would not do it. But Anderson responded to my inquiry right away and came out that same week to do the estimate. Their timing is great. The estimate was done promplty and when the doors came in, they scheduled the install and they were right on time.

These guys changed my windows out in my 1920 cracker box in west San Jose last year and I have nothing but good things to say about these people. The installation crew was careful and professional, and they did an amazing job. I barely had to do any touch up paint work and the new windows are fantastic. Highly recommended.

We ordered several Anderson Windows from John's. He was very detailed and patient to answer questions. And everything was fine after the installation (done by our contractor) based on his measurements made on-site. Later on there was a requirement from the City inspector to replace some windows with tempered glass. John did very well on coordinating the glass re-order and replacement (didn't charge anything for the latter part!). We really appreciate his work. Definitely will do business with him on other windows/patio doors next time.

These guys install new Andersen Windows and Doors but they are a separate company from the Andersen Window company. (notice the name is spelled differently). I think there have been some bad reviews here that were not intended for this company so they have been dinged for people having a problem with the Andersen Window company or one of their other distributors. In fact, one of the reviews below must be for Renew by Andersen which is Andersen Windows replacement window company. They have the ridiculous sales approach described in the other review, but that is not these guys. Anyway, my experience with these guys has been awesome. I have an old house with lots of windows. My wife wanted a large number of them replaced but she wanted to replicate the look and feel of the old windows and the house. I had a number of replacement window companies out to quote the job. The reputable replacement window companies said it was going to be challenging and my wife wasn't going to get the exact look and feel that she wanted. The less reputable ones said it was going to be a piece of cake. I couldn't afford to take the chance so I went with the Anderson Window & Door Installation company. The reason being is that they only install new construction windows and doors not replacement windows. They do all the stucco, plaster and sill work that is necessary to install a new construction window. This is a completely different approach than with a replacement window. These guys have the new construction process down so well that they were able to do an amazing job and do it for around the same price as the replacement windows. They did a beautiful job and managed to keep the same look and feel as the old windows with the bullnose plaster. My wife was militant on the way she wanting things to look and they exceeded her expectation. After the job was done, one of the window's hardware was lost. The owner, John, personally brought out a replacement a few days later. To me these guys are offering something different than all the other replacement window companies out there and I highly recommend them. I don't write many reviews, but I had to write this one.
